Turn #1: Player 1 must play either D1 or G3 as these two cards represent the lowest open point value in two different Cromlets. The player may play either card, and chooses to play D1. Note that Player 1 may also play the “Wild” card at any time, but will wait in order to claim a Cromlet for a higher point value later in the game.
Turn #2: Player 2 does not have any cards representing the lowest open point value in any Cromlet, so may play any card. In this situation, a player will usually either play a low point value card and save the higher point value cards for later in the game for claiming Cromlets OR a player will play a very high point value card believing the Cromlet will be claimed by a player prior to being able to play the high point value card. Player 2 plays A15, believing the A Cromlet will be claimed with a lower point value card.
Turn #3: Player 3 must play the B3 card as it is the only card that represents the lowest open point value in a Cromlet.
Turn #4: Player 4 has no cards representing the lowest open point value in any Cromlet, so may play any card. Player 4 chooses to play A3 as it consists of low points that Player 4 would not want to claim. Most players try to claim 7 or more points when claiming a Cromlet, if possible.
Turn #5: Player 5 must play the O3 card as this is the only card that represents the lowest open point value in a Cromlet. Player 5 also has a “Wild” card to play, but chooses to play it later in the game in order to try to claim a Cromlet for a higher point value.
Turn #6: Player 6 must play the O6 card as this is the only card that represents the lowest open point value in a Cromlet. Note that Player 5 played O3 during the last turn, making O6 the next lowest open point value circle in the O Cromlet. Player 6 also has a “Wild” card, but chooses to play it later in the game in order to try to claim a Cromlet for a higher point value.

The following chart represents the playing hands of six players:

Turn #7: Player 1 must play either B4 or G3 as both cards represent the lowest open point value in two different Cromlets. B3 was played during the last round making B4 the next lowest open point value in the B Cromlet. Player 1 plays G3. Player 1 will continue to save the “Wild” card for later play.
Turn #8: Player 2 must play G6 as this is the only card that represents the lowest open point value in a Cromlet. This is the result of Player 1 playing G3 during the last turn.
Turn #9: Player 3 has no cards representing the lowest open point value in any Cromlet, so may play any card. Player 3 chooses to play W4 because of its low point value.
Turn #10: Player 4 must play G9 as it is the only card that represents the lowest open point value in a Cromlet. Player 4 chooses to claim this Cromlet for the 9 points indicated on the card played. Player 4 may claim this Cromlet since all lower point value circles in the G Cromlet have been closed by previous play. When claiming the G Cromlet, Player 4 will place its Crown on the G9 circle, place a black Crown on the “Claim” circle and return all other Crowns previously played on the G Cromlet to the respective players. Since the “G” Cromlet has been claimed by Player 4, G12 and G15 are "dead" cards. Players with these cards may turn them in for new cards in place of their next turn or a later turn.
Turn #11: E1 is the only card in Player 5’s hand that represents the lowest open point value in a Cromlet. However, Player 5 also has a “Wild” card that may be played at any time. Player 5 chooses to play the “Wild” card on O9 which is the lowest open point value circle in the O Cromlet. All of the lower point value circles in the O Cromlet have been closed by previous play, so Player 5 also chooses to claim the 9 points. Since the “O” Cromlet has been claimed by Player 5, O12 is now a “dead” card. Player 5 will place their Crown on the O9 circle, place a black Crown on the “Claim” circle, and return all other Crowns previously played on the O Cromlet to the respective players.
Turn #12: Player 6 has no cards representing the lowest open point value in any Cromlet, so may play any card. Player 6 chooses to play R6 because of its low point value and will save the “Wild” card for later.
Illustration of Turns #13 - #18

The following chart represents the playing hands of six players:

Turn #13: Player 1 must either play B4 as this is the only card that represents the lowest open point value in a Cromlet, or the “Wild” card. Player 1 plays B4.
Turn #14: Player 2 has no cards representing the lowest open point value in any Cromlet, so may play any card. Player 2 chooses to play M6 as it is a low point value card, yet is the highest value in the M Cromlet. By playing this card now, Player 2 won’t be forced to play the M6 card later once M1 and M3 are played. If Player 2 doesn’t play M6 now and other players play M1 and M3, Player 2 would later be forced to claim the M Cromlet since M6 would then represent the last open point value for the M Cromlet.
Turn #15: Player 3 must play L2 as this is the only card that represents the lowest open point value in a Cromlet.
Turn #16: Player 4 has no cards representing the lowest open point value in any Cromlet, so may play any card. Player 4 chooses to play M3 as it is a lower point value card and Player 4 doesn’t want to be forced to claim the M Cromlet by holding the last unplayed card for the M Cromlet.
Note: Now that M3 and M6 are played, whoever draws the M1 card must play the card and claim the 1 single point for the M Cromlet since it is the last open point value for the M Cromlet. See “Claiming Cromlets” section.
Turn #17: Player 5 must play either E1 or B7 as these two cards represent the lowest open point value in any of the remaining unclaimed Cromlets. Player 5 chooses to play E1 due to the low point value.
Turn #18: M1 is the only card that represents the lowest open point value in a Cromlet, however, Player 6 also holds a “Wild” card that may be played at any time, on any open point value circle. If Player 6 plays the M1 card, they must claim the M Cromlet for 1 point since it is the last open point value for the M Cromlet. Player 6 chooses instead to play the “Wild” card on B7 in order to temporarily avoid having to claim the M Cromlet for 1 point, and chooses to claim the B Cromlet for the 7 points (Player 6 can claim this Cromlet for the 7 points since all lower point values in the B Cromlet have been closed). Since the B Cromlet has been claimed, B8, B11, B12, B15 and B16 are now all “dead” cards. Player 6 places a Crown on the B7 circle and a black Crown on the “Claim” circle of the B Cromlet, and returns the other two Crowns on the B Cromlet to the respective players.

The following chart represents the playing hands of six players:

Turn #19: Player 1 must either play L4 as it is the only card that represents the lowest open point value in a Cromlet, or the “Wild” card. Player 1 decides to hold onto the “Wild” card for a higher point value opportunity later in the game, and plays L4.
Turn #20: Player 2 has no cards representing the lowest open point value in any Cromlet, so may play any card. Player 2 chooses to play T4 as it is a low point value card.
Turn #21: Player 3 must play E4 as this is the only card that represents the lowest open point value in a Cromlet.
Turn #22: Player 4 has no cards representing the lowest open point value in any Cromlet, so may play any card. Player 4 decides to hold onto the “Wild” card for a higher point value opportunity later in the game. Player 4 also will not trade in the one “dead” card in lieu of a turn in order to wait until they have the maximum of two “dead” cards to trade in. Player 4 plays H3.
Turn #23: Player 5 must play L7 as this is the only card that is the lowest open point value in any Cromlet. In addition, L7 is the last open point value for the L Cromlet, so Player 5 must claim the L Cromlet for the 7 points. Player 5 will place one of their Crowns on the L7 point value circle along with a black Crown on the “Claim” circle of the L Cromlet, and will return the other two Crowns from the L Cromlet to the respective players.
Turn #24: M1 is the only card that represents the lowest open point value in a Cromlet. Player 6 also has two “dead” cards, however, “dead” cards cannot be traded when a player holds a card representing the lowest open point value in a Cromlet. Player 6 must play M1 and must claim the M Cromlet for 1 point since it is the last open point value for the M Cromlet. Player 6 will place one of their Crowns on the M1 point value circle along with a black Crown on the “Claim” circle of the M Cromlet, and will return the other two Crowns from the M Cromlet to the respective players.
